get fit

I am just a college student with many desires! Being fit and healthy has always been a goal/desire of mine that makes me happy. Before arriving on campus my freshman year, I was in the best shape I had ever been!  It was great! However... the dorm life and freshman year got a hold of me. For a whole year I rarely had anything but processed food, starches and I NEVER excercised. However after my sister (who was graduating from college) completed her first half marathon I finally woke up and realized the importance of being healthy and learning how to balance that into my life. SO, I began figuring out ways I can begin to start this journey... and I am now trying to balance it into my life. So I decided I would share this journey with you... because if your anything like me, its nice to know someone is going through something similar to me.

Here are a few points in my goal: 
I am still a college student with a VERY tight budget... so keeping it at a low cost is very important to me.
I also do not have time to always cook and clean up... so its important to learn of healthy habits that do not require all the time in the world. When it comes to cooking though, I am a beginner.. so I am looking for recipes that have few ingredients!
I am not a full out lover when it comes to exercising.. so even today, May 18, 2012... I am considering myself a BEGINNER!
Ultimate goal:
Complete a half marathon on November 10, 2012
